Cpunet Internet Spam Prevention

New Bitscrubber eliminates Spam and Virus' with new Email Server Upgrades!

In the last week of February, Cpunet Internet upgraded our powerful Spam and virus filters to use the latest technology in the war against spam. We call our technology Bitscrubber.

Our servers currently process about 500,000 emails a day and electronically scrubs incoming mail of spam and viruses to eliminate 100% of the viruses and more than 99% of the spam that is sent to your subscribers. It's like sending each message through a car wash with thousands of different cleaning cycles. Each cycle performs a specific kind of scrubbing task to ensure the message is as clean as can be. The new upgrades include:

  • Improved integration with SPF (which we've been using since fall 2004).
  • We've added DCC checking which scans for common spam signatures further improving the accuracy of spam detection.
  • With some new software and tuning, we've improved the speed of the servers by about ten times which means your subscribers will get their mail faster than ever: What was about a 3 second "carwash" through Bitscrubber is now a nearly imperceptible .3 seconds.
Below are a few recommended procedures you can take to eliminate the unwanted SPAM email.
