4.05 used Ms. Excel formatted database files. The main script files
have been separated into upgradeable function modules to better
help with updating of the script. The order database consists
of a new relational database format downloadable for import into Ms.
Excel.

those that would like to try the new version. Many of
the new changes are listed in the configuration file. |

| The new
beta was first uploaded on 3/3/2001. Since then any items found
in testing have been fixed and the most recent file set was uploaded
on 3/6/2001. If you are testing or using the new script, when
you update to a newer version, please use all files from the new
version with the following general exceptions: database and image
files, html header, footer and showstore files. In an
effort to make setup easier the directory structure and some
file locations have been changed in version 4.0. Please read the
smartcfg.cgi file carefully. There are many changes and new areas.
There are several help files in the distribution . A list of
file and directories and permission settings are in the file
smartstore_file_setup.html.
For those of you with Windows NT or 2000 servers read the file Readme_Uploader_for_NT.txt.
To locate your server paths run the file find_path.cgi from your
browser.

3/5/2001
A few items in the
shipping #9 cart have been fixed, the wholesale section has been
completed and a few new addition have been made to the new page
layout. When using the mouseOver image layers, a larger image
appears when the mouse is moved over the thumbnail image. You
may select to have the thumbnail image or the image that you use for
the flypage (pop-up information page) appear in a full size
view. The cart now supports the E.C.X. (QuickCommerce Pro)
online Credit Card and Checking payment gateway. Added
option for Ebay style category listing on main store page. Shows
links of categories and number of items in each category. 3/11/2001
Finished the quantity tracking system.
